Bio

Rosangel Gavidia was born in Valencia, Venezuela on May 29, 1984 to her mother Nelly and her father Angel. Ever since she was a little girl she knew she wanted to pursue a life that involved visual art. Her father was a major part of her decision to pursue art. She remembers him painting a big mural of Bambi in her room in Venezuela. Wanting to develop her skills, she would always carry a sketch book to copy drawings her father did or sketch things that she imagined.

At age 6, she moved to the United States along with her father, mother, and younger brother. Not knowing any English, her transition to a new school was difficult because it was hard to communicate with her classmates. During the first few years, her favorite subject was art because she was able to express herself with her artwork more successfully.

After graduating Valedictorian from her high school her next step was to further develop her talent at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston pursuing a major in animation. She graduated from MassArt in 2006. She currently does freelance work for local businesses and small independent films.
